I first worked with Liz Haas in the late nineties when she joined the Sunday Mail as editor of its colour supplement. My function at that time was as a freelance contributor to the film and television sections, mostly profile writing. She had arrived in newspapers via the BBC, where she was a successful talent booker in light entertainment.
